GETTING MEN BACK INTO SHEDS
Massey Community Men’s Shed is a welcoming, non-profit community space where men of all ages and backgrounds can come together to share skills, swap stories, and work on personal or community projects—all while enjoying good company and a few laughs in a well-equipped workshop.
Retirement can bring unexpected changes. Many couples find that suddenly being under each other’s feet all day can create tension—what we like to call “underfoot syndrome.” The Shed provides the perfect escape, offering a space to tinker, create, and connect.
Downsizing often means losing a personal workshop or garage, but the Shed gives men a place to continue their hobbies with the added bonus of working alongside like-minded blokes. It’s also no secret that men tend to have smaller social circles than women, making the Shed a great place to forge new friendships and enjoy some camaraderie outside of family life.
Whether you're a seasoned craftsman or just keen to give it a go, the Massey Men’s Shed is here for you. Come along, check it out, and be part of a great community!
